Take a good look friends, at who you were when you got called into this life. I don't see many of the "brightest and the best" among you, not many influential, not many from high-society families....Everything that we have - right thinking and right living, a clean slate and a fresh start - comes from God by way of Jesus Christ. That's why we have the saying, "If you're going to blow a horn, blow a trumpet for God. (Excerpts from 1 Cor. 1:29-31, The Message)

Ms. Team (Memorizing Scripture):Sixth Post

Hey Ms. Team,

If it feels like it was just yesterday when we posted last it's because it really was just 6 yesterdays! Only our September posts will be close together like this. Come October we will be back on our normal schedule of 2nd and 4th Mondays.

If you don’t have your verse fully memorized yet go ahead and post what you are working on. Mine is simple and short this time...but something I need to be reminded of often.

Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD. Psalms 27:14

Looking forward to seeing yours.....

  1. What a great reminder, Trudy, to wait for the Lord. Simple and short can still be very profound and meaningful. My new verse is from Hebrews: Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. Hebrews 4:16. To think that I have access to the very throneroom of God! That's pretty amazing. Of course it's only because of what Jesus did for us on the cross that I'd even dare to try to enter such a place. But look what awaits me there - mercy and grace. Oh, how desperately I need both, and how thankful I am that they are available to someone like me through the simple act of prayer.

  2. Metta...a little late but here :)

Therefore, there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the spirit who gives life had set you FREE from the law of sin and death.
