Take a good look friends, at who you were when you got called into this life. I don't see many of the "brightest and the best" among you, not many influential, not many from high-society families....Everything that we have - right thinking and right living, a clean slate and a fresh start - comes from God by way of Jesus Christ. That's why we have the saying, "If you're going to blow a horn, blow a trumpet for God. (Excerpts from 1 Cor. 1:29-31, The Message)

Beth Moore Simulcast is Almost Here - Sept 10th

posted by Trudy

We are preparing for you!

Meet the Simulcast Steering Team for the Brevard Community Church Host location.

I just met a cute lady from Hendersonville who came to the BCC office to buy some tickets.  She told me she reads this blog so I thought it might be fun to introduce the simulcast team to our home girls and our many visitors who we will be priviledged to host on Sept 10th.

To your far left is the darling food wonder-woman, Tammy Shook. Her energy is as boundless and bright as her smile and her love for the Lord shows up in the care of the food she prepares for many events. When you get your lunch on Saturday thank the Lord first and Tammy second as she and the food team she leads will have put many hours into making sure you have a nutritious and satisfying meal and they would rather be hung by their toes than be recognized for it.

Beside her is the amazing Paula Hennie. She is heading up the all important prayer effort. She keeps the prayer team updated on what specific things to pray for, and organizes prayer walks and prayer times that have no doubt fought many fights in the heavenlies in preparation for this event. If you are coming, than know you have been covered in prayer by Paula and her team.  A side effect to serving with Paula is laughter. There is a Beth Moore poster on the inside of every bathroom door at BCC and Paula exhorts us not to go in there without taking care of 2 things at once.

That’s me in the middle.

Then on my other side are the adorable blondies who are handling a myriad of things. Gina is organizing tickets and registration and Metta is our publicity girl, but you will no doubt see them wearing many hats on the day of the simulcast. The sweetness of their personalities and quiet willingness to do whatever needs to be done have been a great encouragement to me as we pull the final details together.

And there you have it...

We want you to know that we are buzzing with excitement as we do the final preparations to host you.

It’s not to late too get your ticket.

And please, if you cannot afford a ticket, contact me as I have scholarship tickets available that I would love to bless you with.

Hope to see you there!
