Take a good look friends, at who you were when you got called into this life. I don't see many of the "brightest and the best" among you, not many influential, not many from high-society families....Everything that we have - right thinking and right living, a clean slate and a fresh start - comes from God by way of Jesus Christ. That's why we have the saying, "If you're going to blow a horn, blow a trumpet for God. (Excerpts from 1 Cor. 1:29-31, The Message)

Meet Connie....

Like Amanda, Connie Caldwell probably needs no introduction for most of you but I wanted to be sure the reader who may not know her has the privilege to know a little bit more about her.

A vivacious red-head, Connie possesses both external and internal beauty and her passionate personality only adds credence to the notion that fire and red-heads are indeed synonymous. If you’ve ever attended one of the Saturday ladies events that she heads up you will be able to testify to her ability to turn an ordinary space into a place that literally livens the senses. However, like her, its never just about the external, she also has a gift to gather weary women into times of fellowship and send them back out renewed and refreshed in the spirit.

But if I had to pick a favorite thing about Connie I think it might be the times I get to listen in on her conversations with the Father. It is in those moments I have had the clearest glimpse of her sincere heart and passion for others.

Connie and her husband Eric have successfully raised two handsome boys. The youngest, Mitch, is a sophomore at UNC-Charlotte School of Architecture and the older, Britt is married to Andrea and is an active AF pilot in Hawaii.

I am glad to have both Connie and Amanda on board as a regular contributors to this blog. Check out what they have already written below. And don’t forget to click on the link at the bottom of the blog to access Sheila Alewine’s space. She does a fabulous job opening open the Scriptures, leading by example as she shows you how to study the Word in depth.
